Days of the Week Wheel
How to set up:
Download either the blank or the pre-drawn PDF.
Print out your chosen wheel (stiff paper works best).
Draw and color pictures for each day. If drawing your own, make sure it makes sense to you (for example, if trash day is Monday, draw a trash can).
Add a hole reinforcing sticker (available in office supplies) to the middle of the image, front and back. Multiple layers of scotch or packing tape can be a suitable substitute. This is very important, since this is very fun to spin and as a result it will get spun a lot!
Cut out the heptagon on the dotted lines.
Laminate and/or reinforce with packing tape.
Pick a background. You can use construction paper, felt, scrapbook paper, or even a cork board. If the background is not stiff, make sure you attach it securely to a solid surface in the last step, such as a board or a wall.
Using a push pin, hobby knife, or other sharp object, carefully poke a round hole in the center. If you used hole reinforcers, now is the best time to cut out the center so the hole is as smooth as possible. This should help prevent tearing.
Attach the wheel to your background using a push pin or metal fastener (brad). Optional: use a small piece of felt or wax paper in between to reduce friction. Make sure the wheel can spin freely.
You’re ready to spin!
